Thanks to Golden Sierra for making it possible for us to have hopes and dreams again. You have helped turn hopelessness to hopefulness! I certainly hope that Golden Sierra continues to be there for a long time so that they can continue helping others who have lost their jobs due to the economy.

After two years of searching, many interviews, many disappointments and living through different emotions, I found the perfect job. I could not have done it without the Auburn Connections staff and the resources that they provided.

I am a single mom on unemployment. Jan’s workshops gave me the confidence to succeed in my interview.

After being downsized I found it extremely difficult to get interviews for a new job. Golden Sierra provided me with programs that helped me choose a [career] direction. Golden Sierra provided the funding necessary to follow this dream to its conclusion.

The staff at Auburn Connections is probably made up of the best people you will find anywhere. They were very supportive of me and my job search efforts.

This program has provided the marketing tool for me to discuss my opportunities with potential employers. It built trust and confidence in my ability and now I have advanced from the hiring position of Bookkeeper to Operations Manager of two companies. I also appreciate the continuing support Golden Sierra has given me since I was hired 18 months ago.

Thanks to Auburn Connections I obtained a full-time, permanent position (with benefits) in less than seven months of my arrival in California.

It is great there are so many resources and assistance for someone my age looking for a job. This center and staff are wonderful.  The mock interview the staff gave me was very helpful and reminded me of many things I had forgotten.

You may not always have the most direct route to your destination, but as long as you look for opportunities to excel and challenge yourself to overcome the obstacles that may arise, you can accomplish your goals.
