Job Seekers
Any and all job seekers
may take advantage of the One-Stop Career
Center system. These services are available free of charge.
Provided by a system of partner agencies, the One-Stop
Career
Center system is a "no wrong door" approach in assisting individuals in
finding long-term employment opportunities at wages appropriate for
their needs. One-Stop Career
Center staff and informational "How-To" sessions may aid
individuals with items such as identifying openings and job skills,
improving resumes, interview tactics and selling skills to potential
employers.
Though funding is generally limited, more in-depth services may be
available to eligible individuals. These services may include
professional career assessment and development of an employment plan
as well as scholarships for training opportunities including paid Work
Experience programs, On-The-Job Training opportunities and Vocational
Classroom Training. Please contact the center nearest you for
details on eligibility and funding for training opportunities.
