CalJOBS, maintained by the Employment Development Department, is a valuable tool employers can use to find applicants at no charge. CalJOBS assists you in reaching a larger pool of applicants - over 4000 people each month are looking at jobs using the Internet service CalJOBS.

Internet Access

Search for information you need on the Internet, even if you don’t have Internet access at your business. Stop by one of our convenient One-Stop locations.

Employer Resource Library

Browse the Internet, schedule an Americans with Disabilities Act consultation, access our California State Employer, labor law, tax law, disability and unemployment insurance informational pamphlets, or use California Chamber of Commerce resources to:

- Research workforce related information
- Assemble an employee manual, a safety plan or locate other workplace forms
- Read about issues such as hiring, firing and employee retention.

Advertising & Pre-screening

Golden Sierra and its One-Stop partners will work with you to locate the most qualified candidates. In some cases, we can assist you by advertising in local newspapers and pre-screening applicants. Check with your local Golden Sierra One-Stop location to determine if you qualify.

Workshops & Seminars

Golden Sierra and its One-Stop partners conducts workforce-related seminars for employers. Topics include labor and employment law, successful business practices, and tax information.

Labor Market Information (LMI)

Access employment and economic information such as industry projections, employment statistics, wage information, and labor force analysis.

Downsizing/Lay-off Assistance

Our action team will meet with you on or off site in a downsizing or lay-off situation. Golden Sierra will assist you in helping your laid-off employees with access to unemployment insurance information, assistance to put together a resume, and to determine whether they may be eligible for other services.

Interview Facilities

If you prefer to interview at an off-site location, use Golden Sierra. We can accommodate small or larger numbers of applicants at our sites. Contact your local One-Stop location for more information.

Financial incentives to offset the expense of employing and training program eligible individuals through On-The-Job Training and Work Experience that benefits employers by placing job seekers, eager to learn new skills with an employer who is willing to train.
